How many WiiMotes have you ever had die? Me none in what 7+ years of using a Wii. I may be wrong on that, but that's what the info file says. You pretty much need to run them from the media you ripped and verified them to. Also, I don't think you can move your content from one device to another (usb to sd or other usb). The setup (rip, run, pair with wiimote) is a bit of a hassle but once its done then no problem. If Nintendo ever gives us pro controls on the Gamepad, I will be in total heaven. I found 720p looked bad, but 1080p was sweet (I think it essentially doubles the cube resolution so likely why 720p looks poor). I swear StarFox Adventures looks as good as some of the Ratchet games on PS3. The Upscaling looks fantastic especially with games that supported progressive and 16x9. Nearly 100% compatible, multiple controller options including Classic, Classic pro, WiiU Pro, and PS3 and GC with the Mayfly adapter I ripped about 20 of my old GC games to a 32GB SD card and I must say Devolution is awesome. I never used Devolution in the past on my old Wii, but after wanting to play StarFox Adventures again, I decided to set it up on WiiU. Just wondering how well Nintendont is working at this point? this is so it knows that you backed up your own game and you own(ed) it because it reads the wii remote data or something like thatįinally, not sure if this will work, I dont see why it wouldn't, but you can get a mayflash adapter for GCN -> Wii remote here to wii u adapter The only thing is you must use the same wii controller that you used on the wii when you ran devolution the first time. You plug in your HDD to your Wii U (Make sure to have a y cable for it) and launch devolution, then pick the game and it will run. Wait about 20 seconds and the game will load, and you should be all set. Select the game, and then after the disc drive starts blinking, insert the gcn game. Then run devolution with the gcn disc REMOVED. Then go to the root of your HDD and drag the three files you get for the gcn game you just ripped to a /games directory. You would plug in your HDD, run cleanrip on the wii, insert disc, and rip the game. You must own the discs (you only need them once), and you must have a gcn compatible wii.
